Today, I wanted to try a new spot for brunch, but was drawing a blank. I texted a friend and they suggested I try Creme, so I did! It's a cute, modern spot, conveniently located on 14th street. Creme aims to provide award winning farm to table food, amazing service and a friendly atmosphere. I'd say, indulge and then go for a short walk after brunch.

Today, I wanted to try a few items off of their menu, but of course, I couldn't finish it all.

I had their Shrimp and Grits as my main meal and these were good. The portion size of the creamy stone-ground grits was a nice surprise-- although I feel like the shrimp was slightly overcooked. I took half of my meal home and finished it for dinner. I loved the broth-- even asked for extra to take home.  Chicken and Waffles. If you go with this option, I would definitely suggest the dark meat. It's juicy and flavorful! I tried some of this and liked the chicken the most! One of my other friends got the light meat option and her chicken was very dry and a bit salty. French Toast w/ Berries. I loved the cinnamon flavor and the housemade syrup that this came with! The berries were nice and fresh and a good compliment to the dish.

This is a nice spot and I enjoyed my experience. I want to come back and try more of their menu! I think there's a lot more goodness here, and I was only able to scratch the surface.
